Manchester-The Bulldogs have the ability to keep the ball out of the cage. In Monday's game against Rutland, Burr and Burton were eliminated in two of their three victories this season.

In a 4-0 win on Monday, the BBA improved itself-no shots were allowed in 60 minutes of the game because they recorded third place that year.

Burr and Burton have improved to 4-3 this season, thanks in large part to the wonderful game played by midfielder Maggie Crabtree.

Crabtree has participated in Bulldogs competitions very early, and often participates in them. The midfielder did some small things, these small things may not appear in scoring, but played an important role in the BBA victory.

"She played like a woman today," Bulldog coach Bub Miselli said. "She flew towards the ball, came back to block the free kick, brought the ball into the circle, and scored the goal."

With the BBA leading 3-0, with a little more than 9 minutes left in the game, Crabtree bowed for her outstanding performance with her goal.

Although the BBA fired a total of 24 shots, its attack took a while to begin. Five shots in the first quarter did not score, because Lateran's Emma Cosgrove stood tall and protected the Ravens cage. Cosgrove performed well, recording 19 saves for the game.

In fact, the Bulldogs took more than 25 minutes to record their first goal in the afternoon.

Annabel Gray fired a shot at the cage and was initially stopped by Cosgrove. BBA's Lili Zens circled around the penalty area to grab rebounds, and at 5:30 in the first half seized the second chance to score the first goal of the game.

The time for the BBA to score the second goal was not that long. After 40 seconds, Gray assisted Palin Marion and led the BBA 2-0 in the first half.

According to Miceli, the BBA has always focused on improving its ball movement. This was shown on Monday's turf. The fast passing throughout the game provided the Bulldogs with ample opportunity for offense.

"We are really talking about this all the time," Miceli said. "Let us work together as a team, let us pass the ball fast, let us make faster decisions about the pass, I think they did. Especially when entering the offensive circle; sometimes we tend to stay there for too long (in ), we did a very good job today, just shot it into the circle."

Katie Crabtree is another bulldog with a strong performance, bringing the energy of a sweeper to the BBA. Whenever a Lateran player has possession of the ball, Crabtree will make things difficult, leaving her club there to interfere with the game. She also had some key passes that allowed the BBA to penetrate into Rutland's territory.

"In any case, she will reach 110%," Miceli said. "She has enough room to move the ball really fast and pass these shots to the wing, so when she crosses the wing, you will see explosive speed."

Gray added her second score of the day in the third quarter and continued to be a frequent visitor to the Bulldogs.

Although Mac Thuermer was not challenged, he recorded the victory of protecting the cage.

The BBA will maintain its momentum in Friday's game in Hartford.
